The head of staff, Dr. C. F. Williams, attended East Carolina University, Louisiana State University and the University of Georgia. He received the Outstanding Senior Award from ECU, pursued a Master’s Degree at LSU and obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UGA with the distinction of being Magna Cum Laude. The status of Honorary Alumni has been conferred on Dr. Williams by the North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Professional associations include the Omega Tau Sigma Veterinary Fraternity, the Phi Zeta Honor Society, the North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association. He opened the Carolina Veterinary Hospital, P.A. in Sanford, North Carolina in 1977 while serving as an on-call veterinarian for the Veterinary Equine Research Center in Southern Pines. Dr. Williams has received awards for his outstanding support in the training of the U.S. Army Special Forces.
Dr. Williams and his wife, Donna, enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, photography and spending time in their cabin in the North Carolina mountains. Donna, a Physical Therapist and a Personal Trainer, owns and operates a clinic in Concord, NC. Their son, Austin, works with his father in the veterinary hospital while attending Central Carolina Community College. Family pets include a dozen cats and their dog, Josie, as well as numerous raccoons, foxes, possum, deer and birds that make their home on the Williams' properties
